What Motivates You?

Recently we polled numerous super-powered heroes and villains alike to find out some of the reasons why they do what they do. Some of the answers may surprise you.

Guilt, That's why I started. It wouldn't feel right at all if I were to have all this power and not do anything with it. After all that training at the monestary, after everything that Sha'lek has taught me, why would I be selfish and keep these talents for my own personal gain? It just doesn't make sense to see the people around you, the ones who don't have these talents and just do nothing.

An intriguing question to say the least...Revenge to put it simply, revenge... to kill the batman, you see he killed my wife when I was human. I now feel the need to break him emotionally then physically.

Death, destruction, chaos, murder....ohhhh its making my spine tingle....I was a "good guy" assassin but they turned on me and good friend of mine helped me out, thats all I can say really oh oh oh I want to go back to murder! You see my father always said to me "the eyes are the window to the soul....so when I kill a hero...dont worry I will get onto how I kill them soon...now when I kill a hero or while they are still alive I remember that quote and I pluck or rip their eyes out, its quite interesting when they are alive because you get to see them panic and thrash hahaha, now when I am done I like to keep the eyes so I can at least say I have a heroes soul haha....anything else you would like to ask me?

 Short answer? Because i want to. There really is no other way to put it. I can be anywhere at any time, so why would i refuse to help others? I'll admit that there is a thrill factor involved, and it is a way to escape from a normal life. But with my previous history, My friend's dying words and the people i hold close to me. I simply won't stop just because others might not agree with my way of life. Regardless of who accepts me, i'm here for the long run.

The reason I fight wrong-doers? Well that's an easy question to answer, To stop those who can not protect themselves from being hurt, When I was little my Mother and Father were never In a... 'stable' relationship, And being little I was never able to protect from him, I wished I could but I never had the strength. So the day she died I blamed him, He was the reason for all my anger and... I... I... I lashed out at him. I should of stoped myself but I couldn't..Until I remembered my Mother loved this person, My mother who I cared for more than anyone else In the world cared for this monster. And somewere down the line I was hurting my Mother's memory by attacking something she loved. So I guess theres two reasons to protect those who cant protect themselves and to try and make It up to my mother... Thinking about It now It sounds silly, But I believe Its the only reason I could give.

What motivates me? Easy. The people. Plain, ordinary, powerless people. As long as there are those who thinks that because they have superpowers they have the right to do whatever they want, to whoever they want, whenever they want...there'll be people like me who're always ready, willing, and more than able to stop them.

What motivates me?... The monster a man can be does.
I was once a monster motivated by revenge and hate, who would harm the innocent.
I'm now motivated to help protect the innocent, from those monsters that would harm them.
