Batman Severely Injured

Sources inside the GCPD revealed that Batman was severely injured during a conflict with Joker yesterday evening. While several of his henchmen were apprehended, The Joker escaped. Our reporters briefly intercepted a GCPD cruiser that transported the legendary costumed hero to Gotham General late yesterday evening. The vigilante Force, of The Coalition, briefly spoke to reporters as many heroes arrived for an impromptu vigil. "He'll pull through, but we're here praying for him. He's been this city's savior longer than anyone here. I was there when he went down and now i'm just here to show my support."  Now? The public holds its collective breath as we wait for any updates from the medical staff.

  1. Private Masque stood in his apartment looking at the television as live reports of Batman getting hurt streamed in.

"That's terrible, everyone knows he's getting old"

  3. Deacon turned off his laptop after the news stream ended and put it back in his backpack. "I guess it's time for me to finish what Bats just started," he said as he ran towards and jumped off the edge of the rooftop, swinging away with the intentions on wrecking some dental work.

  4. Force slinked off into the darkness as the more recognized heroes began to arrive. STUPID. He didn't know why he had spoken to the reporter, it was certainly out of character for him, but The Batman was in surgery and the pushy reporter had shoved the mic in his face. Was it guilt? When The Batman had fallen he had been there. Could he have done more? He had almost been killed himself as they struggled to defeat The Joker and his goons. Next time..he'd be more prepared.

  5. I don't think that's the 'real' Batman. This is obviously some sort of hoax.
Bats has a teeth-gritting scowl even when knocked out. This guy looks like he's napping.
Don't bother tracing this IP addy. I broke into someone's house to send this. Gonna raid their fridge and then I'm gone.

  7. Paladin stood on the roof top of a Gotham building, one near the hospital where Batman was being kept. The remnants of a Daily Planet paper flipped through his fingers
    'Poor guy...' he thought.
'His defeat was more than likely due to an emotional response,' Automaton droned in Paladin's mind.
'Will you quit that?' Paladin responded, getting ready to leave, 'we're gonna look into this. Joker shouldn't have been able to take Batman down that well...'
