What happened to Revenant?

It's been weeks since anyone has seen or heard from the leader of the mysterious group of vigilantes, The Others. What is known is that several members of the group are now PeaceKeepers, but it appears no one is talking (or no one knows) when it comes to the whereabouts of their former leader. Is the man known as Revenant still alive? Has he retired? Many questioned the secret nature of the group, but no one disputed their effect on street criminals, we'll reach out to two former members (31st Cabalist and MoonHawk) to see if they can shed some more light on the fate the "currently missing" leader of the group.

Bio: Addonexus

Nero Tiberius was born in Ancient Rome 18 A.D, into a world of slavery and violence. Raised by his father a slave turned gladiator, and never getting to know his mother, like a child should, but for nothing more than a servant girl that gave birth to him. After birth his mother was punished by death for having a child without permission and he was only allowed to live because his father pleaded to spare him, to teach him to be gladiator like himself. The Emperor, at that time, agreed to this as he enjoyed the gladiatorial sport.

Little Bohemia Police Station Attacked!

Late last night, a horde of villains assaulted the Little Bohemia Police Station. Could this behavior be a result of the new boldness of supervillains that have been energized, emboldened and motivated by the actions of The Legion Of Sin? Lois Lane, was of our reporters on the scene and she had the opportunity to interview the rather talkative villain Pyroclasm of the Public Enemies, who claimed he was one of the instigators.

The JLA and Coalition Stop OMAC Outbreak

Brother MK I or better known as Brother Eye had just enough time to barely fade out of the headlines when all of a sudden, the OMAC virus started infecting Gotham citizens near the Gotham Nights Stadium and the adjacent town home area. Many of the JLA assembled to take on the threat with a contingent of newly christened superheroes and they seemed as if they were working with the new villain populace to put an hold on the spread of the virus. Breaking News: Arkham Breakout!

In a daring nighttime raid that caught security at Arkham Asylum unaware, sources are reporting that the Legion Of Sin broke into the facility and if preliminary reports are true, assisted over half of the inmates in escaping. Some notables villains released back onto the streets were Mr. Freeze, Scarecrow, The Joker, Poison Ivy and it appears many others. The motivations at this time were unclear but many sections of Gotham were in chaos with the massive influx of evildoers as of press time.

Voice Chat System Hurting PS3 Experience

MMOs are largely built and succeed based on social experiences, and the PS3 version of the game is failing to deliver right now. Its bad enough that Voice Chat is extremely limited, but to add insult to injury the Voice Chat system (brought to us by Vivox) only seems to work about half of the time. The other times its in a broken state where its of no use. Further frustrating is the fact that sometimes text chat goes down as well, reducing the more resourceful of us to using the PSN Chat Rooms to communicate. Seriously?

Interview: Grey Wolf

Not so long ago we had the opportunity to interview the creator of Gray Wolf of The PeaceKeepers. Keep reading for some pretty unique views on PC versus Console play, some experiences in City of Heroes and Champions Online and why Gray Wolf is a PeaceKeeper.

Bio: Ghostly Avenger

Cold sweats and fevered dreams; those are all that Steve Burrows knew in the hours between midnight and dawn for the better part of six months. It should have been a sign. It should have meant something to him, but he blamed it on stress and Star City’s failing economy.

Feedback Wanted!

We all want DCUO to be the best game that it can be, so we feel its our duty to be able to provide a place for developers and fans of the game to interact. There are some elements to the game that many people feel could be improved, So what we've done is add a few new polls on the left side of our blog for you to provide game feedback. While we're hoping that EVERYONE is using the in-game feedback option that's offered, we'll also do our best to provide a place where you can provide feedback in a different manner.

Please take the time to vote on these polls and tell us how you feel. Your opinions are important.

Thanks!

Bio: Black Leviathan

Before I became “The Biblical Beast”, Black Leviathan...(insert a pause) I was an accountant! (laughs)

I was actually mildly successful young man, with a Fiance, and was in line for a Big Fat promotion...until the Exobytes. After gaining my new powers from the Exobytes, I also transformed into the scaled figure before you now. My Boss, my Co-Workers, “Friends”, my Love they where more or less frightened by my new appearance. I do not know if they knew that it was me... or perhaps it was easier to think I was dead or Missing than what I had turned into. I sense Empathically that my new “look” was simple undesirable for a few...

F.L.A.G's ranks Swell

Apparently the ideals of Freedom, Liberty and Glory aren't specific to Americans. According to spokesmen within the group, the membership of the popular superhero group has grown to exceed 100 in number.
"Another very interesting turn in our group is the rapid influx of EU and Australian players. It looks like the ideals of FLAG are appealing even to those not within our borders.  I'm not surprised really, more like awestruck. " commented Soldier, the group's leader. "I knew we would have success, but I never dreamed we would grow so fast so quickly."

SureShot's Widow calls on Heroes

In a maneuver that many in the superhero community advised her against, the grieving widow of Elemental member, SureShot, elected to have a public funeral for the superhero, revealing his secret identity (Matt Searcy) and possibly making herself and other family members targets. The funeral was a virtual who's who as many in the superhero community and luminaries from virtually every walk of life attended. Several high-profile heroes broke down as Madeline Searcy eulogized her husband. She fervently called on active heroes to stop the systematic execution of members of The Elementals and also to address the rise in supervillain activity in our community.

"Stop this now!" She pleaded. "Everything is backwards now, we MUST make it right." Some critics feel that while her plea was admirable and brave, she may have doomed herself and her family by making herself known to SureShot's former enemies.

Finally Revealed: Atomic Theory

A shocking turn events happened yesterday as Super Villain Atomic Theory appeared in broad day light on top of Wayne Enterprises finally revealing what he claims to be “My greatest ally”, this happens just a few days after my interview with the madman as he claimed he traveled to another universe. A transcript of the event is as follows:

Bio: Grey Guardian

Michael Gray was gifted. He was born with a sharp mind, heightened senses and incredible stamina. He lives and always has lived in Gotham. Raised by a single mother, Michael found himself from an early age practicing martial arts to fill the void that his mother left while she was always coming home late, and going on business trips. One night, Michael's Mother, Jane Gray, did not return home from work. Michael anxiously paced around his room awaiting her arrival, but alas, it did not come. Michael forced himself to sleep, telling himself 'she spent the night in a hotel; she'll be here in the morning.'

Bio: Eliphaz

Name : Eliphaz
Powers: Fire
Weapons: Hand blasters
Affiliation: good
Movement: Flight
Mentor : Wonder Woman

Sources: Rare Ammunition used in Elemental Killings

As many heroes continued to take up the search for the missing SureShot, sources inside the investigation revealed that special ChemEvo rounds were used in all three killings. While Infinity apparently died from trauma as well, his super-resilient skin was pierced multiple times by these unique weapons, which many thought was still only in an experimental stage.

ChemEvo rounds were introduced in testing by three different hi-tech weapons developers as a means of disabling and combatting "supers" by military and security forces. They were not introduced for purchase yet, however as many claimed the weaponry and technology was still "a few years away."

A Justice League spokesman revealed that some of their best investigators were fervently investigating any leads and representatives of the PeaceKeepers, Vanguardians, New Justice, F.L.A.G and Dream Team echoed those sentiments.

Villain Group declares War on Sons of Liberty

A little-known group of Villains from the UK have become recent news by launching a cyber-attack on the website of The Sons Of Liberty and damaging several of their data and security programs. They also issued a thinly veiled threat. Creed of Chaos, who were not on the "supervillain radar" of many heroes, has now joined the watch-list of many superhero groups as this new breed of bold evildoers has seemingly been empowered by success of groups like the Legion of Sin,Chaotic Evil and and others who have had success going on the offensive against superheroes.

We've reached out to The Sons of Liberty for details on the cyber-attack but haven't received as of press time. More details as they become available.

Update: Private Masque prefers to be a Loner

Breaking News: Elementals' Sureshot Missing!

The superhero community is on edge this morning as another of The Elementals may have met an untimely demise. SureShot, the group's martial-artist/mercenary, slipped away from his duo of superhero bodyguards yesterday and and hasn't been seen in more than twenty-four hours. The remaining members of the group have been under close protection due to a concerted effort by the superhero community to make certain none of the others come under harm.

While the hero may not be in danger, tensions are running high in the superhero community after the high-profile killings of three of Sureshot's teammates and the disappearance of several members of the vigilante group The Others.

Bio: Rick Tacular

When Rick was growing up, he was always the largest and strongest person in his class.  Instead of using his stature to intimidate those who were smaller than him, he used his gifts to protect those who would be bullied. He realized that to use his strength against those who were weaker than him was not only wrong but cowardly. When he grew up it was clear that his destiny was to become a hero and use his talents in the never-ending fight against evil!

Bio: The Osprey

Crime in Gotham is nothing new. Corruption? An old cliché. The power and will to take on both has for too long been a pipe dream at best and at worst a road traversed on the way to madness.

Bio: The Paladin

The Paladin

"What makes a hero is not the power or the skill. It is the Capacity to do what's right."

Bio: Soldier

Jared Freeman only wanted to serve his country.  It was his highest ambition—his life’s goal.  After enlisting, he accelerated through the ranks; Special Forces, counter terrorism, advanced recon, and tactical deployment were his forte and the powers-that-be took notice.

Legion of Sin Issues Threat!

Before the deaths of Infinity, The PeaceKeeper and Destra, a threat like the one mailed to our offices yesterday would go largely ignored or added to the many threats heroes receive on a daily basis. In these days and times, where people have made costumed heroes targets, they have to be taken as a viable threat that cannot be ignored or taken lightly. What we received seven hours ago can only be described as a threat on the lives of one of the more popular superhero teams in Metropolis: The Dream Team.

Bio: 31st Cabalist

On Patrol with The Dream Team

Today's heroes come in many forms, there are heroes in name--and those that actually go out and operate almost totally for the benefit of their fellow man. The supergroup known as The Dream Team is one of those organizations. After my news crew taped the coordinated attack that took down Kordax, we were accompanied by the vigilante Deacon (who agreed to protect us as a favor to Lana Lang--more on that later) and we followed them to another area downtown where a 40 foot tall apparition known as The Judge and his minions were attacking that area of the city.
