On Patrol with The Dream Team

Today's heroes come in many forms, there are heroes in name--and those that actually go out and operate almost totally for the benefit of their fellow man. The supergroup known as The Dream Team is one of those organizations. After my news crew taped the coordinated attack that took down Kordax, we were accompanied by the vigilante Deacon (who agreed to protect us as a favor to Lana Lang--more on that later) and we followed them to another area downtown where a 40 foot tall apparition known as The Judge and his minions were attacking that area of the city.

S.TA.R. Labs operatives and a scattered group of superheroes were doing there best to hold them off, but they needed a larger superhero presence. When The Dream Team arrived, their co-leader Eliphaz quickly got the groups together and coordinated an attack on the towering ghost-like figure. They went back and forth for what seemed like 10 minutes before the The Judge fell, and his minions were also dispatched soon after. The Dream Team seems to be a closely-knight group that work well together. While the diminutive Eliphaz wears a suit of powered armor, The speedster Royaltee flashes around the battlefield providing support wherever it is needed. He moves so quickly that on our way to the downtown area he literally ran circles around us as he waited for us to approach the area. Blaque Sun isn't very talkative but the energy-wielder (who can also fly) has a quiet way about him that conceals the obvious enormous power he commands. Kage Nara appears to be a being of ebony energy, and although his appearance is alarming at first, he quickly puts you to ease with his comical wit and jovial demeanor. Nevermiss rounded out the group, and the serious-as-nails hero moves with a speed that only total dedication to combat can develop. It's not often you see a man with a sword go into battles with supervillains and handle themselves--let alone emerge victorious.

It was extremely comforting to watch them as they moved as a team and efficiently dispatched every threat with a speed and level of expertise that is a wonder to behold. Every so often I noticed as they glanced back to be sure that our news crew wasn't in any danger, I can't tell you how secure this made our news team feel--Presidents couldn't be protected this well.

While those two acts of heroism may have equaled a lifetime of heroism for some, they were all in a day's work for The Dream Team, and they weren't even done. After briefly helping the S.T.A.R Labs operatives round up the last of the apparitions, Eliphaz recieved a communication on his com-link alerting him that other members of their team were facing off against Killer Frost and an army of powerful robotic drones. Eliphaz and, Kage Nara and Blaque Sun immediately took to the air and led a contingent of heroes towards the threat, our news van followed not far behind Royaltee and NeverMiss as they dashed through the streets of Metropolis. When we arrived, Eliphaz quickly reminded us of the safe zone that our van was not to cross and they waded into the enormous battle where their teammates Arcanious, LightingFlash, Cerebro, Poison Alchemist and Atom were already engaged. The battle itself had laid waste to the surrounding area and the air raged with flying heroes, robot drones and all manner of weapon and energy fire. The battle raged for over an hour with neither side gaining any ground.

Then, not far from our live broadcast, Deacon and LightningFlash were felled by a relentless assault by drones and both went down. Perhaps it was the acts of heroism I had seen during the day, perhaps it was just instinct and foolish headstrong thinking, but I immediately ran to their sides to try to drag them from the battlefield. Suddenly, a low hum caused me to look up, and the last thing I remembered was an intense bright light from the outstretched hands of one of Killer Frosts's drones.

Minutes later I was revived by the Dream Team leader, a hooded being of white energy, named Arcanious on top of a nearby building. His skin glowed with an eerie white light and small, red balls of energy flowed from him to anyone nearby and seemed to heal any damage from attacks we had suffered. He extended his hand to me and help me stand--it was the second time a member of The Dream Team has saved my life that day. Killer Frost had been defeated, but the battle with her drones still raged on for another two hours before the drones were depleted--and the Dream Team never left their posts. The resilience, skill and dedication of these people that choose to protect us is awe-inspiring, and I can truthfully say that evildoers will never maintain a strong foothold while heroes like them scour the skies and patrol our streets.

  1. Another busy day for us at the dream team that lead to more questions then answers, while nearly certain that these notorious villians were in fact not launching a co ordinated attack, the timing implied otherwise.
It seems allmost as soon as Kordax fell and his fish goons were beer battered and fried,S.T.A.R. labs had allready issued a call for assitance in the heart of mid town metropolis, what The Judge and his spiritual minions were after in the city may never be known, but the threat of his sentient Sickles proved to much for the under mand star operatives at the time, and we didnt hesitate to jump into action, questions would have to wait with so many civilian lives at stake. We worked quickly to dispatch him as we were allready awaiting word of killer frost arrivial.
With mid town safe once again and the S.T.A.R. operatives in control of the emergency response neccassary after all the chaos, we finally recieved word from Fire that the time had come and Killer Frost had arrived, its our belief she was after after a large cache of exobytes that had fallen there, as evident by the large number of civilians runing rampant in the area with there new found powers, only more interogation will determine what her plans were.
A bigger question is why so many OMAC's were also there, it seems Batmans defense system may be out of control, but the heart of this problem will have to wait for another day, we will keep you all posted as developments continue to come in.

  6. I have had the pleasure of fighting beside some of the heroes of this league and clearly we have a jealous hero alert. Don't hate my friend get better and how do you know they gang up when heroes can't even fight heroes. Watch ya mouth or I might swoop down on you one night fly up in the air with you, drop you and catch you before you hit the ground. These are good friends and won't stand anyone slandering their heroic name. You scared to say ya name slander. Great job Dream Team. Hopefully Dream Team and Super Society can team up in the near future again

  7. I've seen you all in action. You guys are okay though not talkative in chat box.

I think post #3 might be referring to the handling of villains or so? I don't know nor care but will keep an eye on this Dream Team just to see what they're like in the coming future.

  8. I can't remember the last time I fought a villain 1-on-1 when there are other ones in the area so your post is retarded Mr. Anonymous #3. Go get good.

  9. There's no official way to 1v1 in an open world right now. If you're complaining you are attacked by other people nearby then you need to find somewhere more private to fight. When a hero or villain sees their allies under attack they're likely to jump in and make sure their side wins. It's not cheating, and it happens on both sides.
