A few hours ago, authorities found spent ammo casings along with 7 dead bodies around and near the loading docks and security check point for International Flight 112. Investigators are now confident that the explosion of the pro-VRA hero filled flight was a terrorist attack and not something caused by a mechanical or human error.

SuperDad Missing!

In a could-be tragic turn of events, Ultimate Legion member SuperDad may have been kidnapped after agreeing to meet with Crab Rangoon of the Doom Patrol. After public pressure to agree to a truce after the injuries to innocents at high-profile battles between the two super-rivals.

UL Spokesmen revealed earlier today that the group lost contact with SuperDad immediately after he was scheduled to meet with the members of The Doom Patrol. While there aren't any suspects as of press time. Members of the Ultimate Legion fear the worst.

Heroes Retaliate after Vicious Killing

A unknown location at midtown metropolis was stormed by many heroes from The Wolfpack as well as others from Gotham City and Metropolis including the Rayven Man and Ged in a way to seek answers from the Cape Killer units within a safe house of the MFC on the slaying of Vicious whom they could of questioned when he was alive. This just happened after Force and the Coalition were successful on pushing back the MFC in Gotham City as the heroes and vigilantes were pushing their way through; the MFC would not talk to the Anti-VRA outlaws due to working under orders by Director Lex Luthor. Director Luthor had this to say, "I will not tolerate with any of these anti-VRA scum attacking and pillaging my facilities since the Rayven Man and the Coalition are causing a lot of carnage and mayhem. I will be putting a $5,000,000 bounty for anyone who can capture or kill these costumed freaks!!! I will be having all of our units be sent in full force, and believe me they will be stopped." Sources are saying that this was caused after Force and the Coalition as well as other vigilantes storming another facility in Gotham City was the reason for this Blitz.

BREAKING NEWS! Shoot Out in Burnley District Leaves 14 MFC Enforcers Dead, Several More Injured

"We were sure that we had him. There was no way that he could've known that we were coming but he did," said MFC Captain Roger Tate. No one could've predicted the force required to take down the man known as Force. Was it self-defense or was it unprovocated violence on behalf of an individual disillusioned by the new laws of the land?

Was Deadly Force Necessary?

A videotape showing the out-of-uniform Vicious shot from behind.

As details continue to emerge from last week's Hostage Crisis at the Mayor's Office ended with the apparent death of the terrorist mastermind, a supervillain known as Vicious, as the MFC Cape Killer Unit stormed the area and liberated those being held. Many hero groups are now asking if the use of deadly force was necessary, while many vigilante and fringe hero groups have long advocated the use of deadly force, most of the traditional hero groups have charters that actually probit it. Some are now asking if the MFC is any better than the vigilantes they were organized to bring  to justice.

Mayor, Hostages Unharmed; Vicious SLAIN!

As details start to emerge from the aftermath of the conclusion of the Hostage Crisis at the Mayor's Office, the public is becoming aware of the details of the incident. At some point in the evening authorities made the decision that negotiations were making a turn for the worse and green lighted the assault by the Cape Killer Unit.

Breaking News: MFC StrikeTeam storms Mayor's Office!

Sources are reporting that the former Legion of Sin, know referred to more commonly referred to as the "Cape Killer Unit" and now at the forefront of Lex Lethor's MFC Movement launched a surprise attack on site at the location of the Mayor's Office Hostage Crisis. Reportedly negotiations were slowing and authorities made the decision to send in the team of metahumans. Its unclear who the specific members of the striketeam sent in were, if any hostages were injured or what the outcome was but we'll continue to report from the scene to garner information.

The Daily Planet Pledge

Our blog has no heroic or villainous associations . It's our intent to remain neutral and simply REPORT the news and other events from inside DCUO. In a nutshell, many of us were really disappointed that "news stories" inside DCUO won't be available for everyone in the game to see. We feel like there needs to be a way to highlight events, instances and focus on who's being a GREAT hero or villain--so we're gonna do it. But YOU have to help us. Stop a bank robbery in Gotham? Putting together an evil plan? Send it to us so we can write it up as a news story. Or recreate it in short story form from your character's perspective! we also want to show another side to the characters (and the people that play them) by doing interviews. We know people are ALWAYS interested in gossip as well...so any information from inside superhero/villain teams about new members, your new nemesis, who's at odds, who got OWNED and other stories are certainly welcome.

Lastly, we want to be a place where we can highlight the great suggestions, proposed fixes and known imbalances that the people who are playing the game think are important in an organized, educated and balanced manner--we want to avoid the complaint-type threads that often appear on forums after people have a bad experience.

That's our pledge. DC Universe fans UNITE!

Answers from Coalition Leader, Force, About Their Recent Rank Building Attempts

If you had a chance to read our headline from yesterday concerning The Coalition, then you'd know what's going on. Numerous members of the superhero team have been spotted roaming the streets in what seems like an effort to gain support from other vigilantes for their Anti-VRA movement. We were left with many questions unanswered. That is, until now. Force, one of the heads of The Coalition, contacted us to shed some more light on why they've been so public with their recent movements.

2 Bodies found in East End, Davey Jones involved?

A decade ago this sadistic killer struck fear in the hearts of Gotham residents, and citizens may need to be wary again. The Coalition Bolstering Ranks?

Our street sources in Gotham have brought to our attention some increased movement and visibility from one of the MFC's most wanted vigilante group, The Coalition. It's being reported that have been approaching heroes from both Gotham and Metropolis seeking to lend a hand. Is this an attempt to swell there ranks up with more outlaws heroes?

Early this morning, our senior editor here at the DP Blog offices received an encrypted email from a possibly new vigilante group who are calling themselves "The Void." Mayor Speaks for Hostages

While the Hostage Crisis at the mayor's office stretches into its second week, Negotiators have made progress with the super-terrorists. Over the weekend they were able to arrange to speak to Mayor Fleming, who assured authorities that no hostages had been injured and that they were also being treated humanely.

Sources are reporting on a rift between some of the authorities present at the hostage crisis. It seems one segment is content to continue negotiations, while the other is more than ready to implement a military, more aggressive solution to bring the events to a close.

Battle Near Diamond District PD Slows Flow of Heroes Supporting the City Hall Offensive in Metropolis

Late last night the villain legion known as H8T laid siege to the Diamond District police station in Gotham. The Diamond District PD had basically become a transportation hub for Gotham based heroes to travel to Metropolis and help with the ongoing situation that's been developing there. Several hero leagues were heading to the police station when they were brutally ambushed by well coordinated criminals.

Akroma seen near Hostage Crisis

The mysterious winged Metahuman Akroma was seen early this morning flying above the Mayor's Office where we enter Day Three of the Hostage Crisis. Many are still unsure of her affiliation as there are rumors that upon her first appearance she was associated with the forces of evil.

Several flying heroes took to the air to approach the enigmatic metahuman but she quickly left the area before they could confront her. After the failed rescue attempt by the hero Sabre yesterday, authorities continue to ask for cooperation from vigilantes and heroes alike in allowing negotiators to do their jobs in hopes that they can reach a peaceful solution.

Hostage Mastermind Revealed: Vicious

Earlier today sources revealed that the mastermind behind the Hostage Crisis was no other than Metropolis villain Vicious. As the crisis entered day three, the public is still unaware of the condition of the hostages, the terrorists demands or the progress of the negotiations. The Justice League's Wonder Woman spoke to reporters about an hour ago addressing the many media outlets present at the Mayor's Office. "Right now all we can tell you is that we're trying to let the negotiators do their jobs, we're trying our best to let the proper authorities broker a peaceful solution."

Source: Vanguardians in Turmoil

While the area outside the Hostage Crisis is a virtual Who's Who of established, popular and veteran hero groups, one group is conspicuous by its absence. The Vanguardians.

We ran an article last week regarding the league's almost complete absence recently only to have a source WITHIN the hero group contact us. The source agreed to speak under the condition of anonymity and provided a startling view of the state of one of the city's most prominent hero groups.

Hero injured trying to liberate hostages

The popular female Gotham vigilante Sabre was slightly injured last night while trying to liberate the hostages from the Mayor's office. She was the first hero to come into contact with the now-famous hard-light force field that surrounds the entire structure where the hostages are being held. It is unknown whether the field is being generated or if someone is projecting it, but after Sabre attempted to stealthily enter the structure from the rooftop and was hurled almost a block away, its obvious that it prevents unauthorized entry.

Paramedics gave Sabre a clean bill of health save a few bumps and bruises and authorities warned anyone else about trying to enter the building. Today begins Day 3 of the Hostage Crisis. A large contingent of law enforcement agencies and over 20 hero groups remains at the command center near the building. Sources tell us that the hostage takers made contact last night but haven't revealed the identities or demands yet.

Hostage Negotiations Underway

As the Hostage Crisis at the Mayor's office stretches into its second day, A number of superhero and vigilante groups have joined authorities in a vigil in a make-shift command center outside of the Mayor's Office. Representatives from the Legacy of Truth, The Assassin's League, PeaceKeepers, The Coalition, Meta-Justice, Meta Militia, Dream Team and Overwatch were all present and accounted for. While many were unavailable for comment but Enchantress of Swift Justice spoke to several media outlets. "It seems there's some kind of invisible circle field preventing entry, word is it even stretches into the sewers. We're here for support, but its all up to the negotiators right now."

Another Sighting of the Mysterious Vixen

Reports are coming in of another major altercation in the Burnley District in Gotham. The gang war between Burnley Town Massive and rogue elements of the Ghost Dragons was getting devastatingly violent because not only were members of the gangs were getting K.I.A. the death toll of pedestrians in the area began to rise. The GCPD were barely able to do there job and it seemed like the casualties would keep rising. Then out of nowhere, a blast of lightning flew from an alleyway and split into multiple strands of electricity aimed at each of the gang members weapons.

Demonic Assault in Metropolis Metro

We all know that there are two sides to every person, and we all make the choice on which side we suppress.
For this is what defines a Hero or a Villain, but what were to happen if that dark side was to be forcibly ripped from our bodies? We have reports of just such an incident has made its way to our offices and we'll do our best to give you the details without getting too graphic.

Have You Seen this Woman?

Our sources report that around 6 years ago, this woman was admitted to a military research and development facility under a top secret project who's name and purpose we're not able to ascertain as of yet. One thing can be said for sure, whatever they were doing caused this woman to be a living weapon.

Destruction of Little Bohemia Police Dept Averted

Details are just now being released about a recent attack that was carried out on the Little Bohemia PD by the Black Lanterns and Department of Corrections. The attack was swift, very coordinated and it seemed like that there was little the police on sight could do. Just when things were looking bleak, in a positive turn of events, the Legacy of Truth came to the stations defense with Nimbus Yosh (not pictured) leading the contingent of heroes.

Is STAR Labs Cooperating with the MFC Administration?

Not even two days after Superpatriot's appearance at our offices and the following confrontation between him and members of Meta Justice with the Legion of Sin MFC forces, documents have come to our attention linking STAR Labs with the MFC.

Legacy of Truth in turmoil?

The infamous band of "vigilantes" who has been known to brutally beat anyone they apprehend is apparently having troubles of their own internally. Our sources from inside and outside the league report that apparently there are or were some issues going on with Covergirl and league leader, The Truth. Our informants couldn't give us anymore info at the time because he was still in the presences of their league mates but as soon as we get more details, we'll deliver them to you.
