Was Deadly Force Necessary?

A videotape showing the out-of-uniform Vicious shot from behind.

As details continue to emerge from last week's Hostage Crisis at the Mayor's Office ended with the apparent death of the terrorist mastermind, a supervillain known as Vicious, as the MFC Cape Killer Unit stormed the area and liberated those being held. Many hero groups are now asking if the use of deadly force was necessary, while many vigilante and fringe hero groups have long advocated the use of deadly force, most of the traditional hero groups have charters that actually probit it. Some are now asking if the MFC is any better than the vigilantes they were organized to bring  to justice.

Then there are those that are calling this a political ploy to discredit the MFC. The strikeforce rescued the hostages without a single casualty and performed their jobs to the best of their ability. While this is the thinking of many, many of the sanctioned superhero groups are expected to ask for an independent investigation into whether the use of deadly force was unwarranted.
