Demonic Assault in Metropolis Metro

We all know that there are two sides to every person, and we all make the choice on which side we suppress.
For this is what defines a Hero or a Villain, but what were to happen if that dark side was to be forcibly ripped from our bodies? We have reports of just such an incident has made its way to our offices and we'll do our best to give you the details without getting too graphic. 

Former Team Supreme member, Damian, was the subject of a malicious attack by the sorceress, Circe, and the demonic cult leader, Brother Blood. Eye witnesses state that Damian was in the mist of battling a demonic horde of about 20 wraiths near the Metro Station in Metropolis. As he was gaining the upper hand, Circe and Brother Blood entered the fray and quickly overpowered him with their dark magics. After Damian was incapacitated, Blood placed what could only have been a binding spell on the hero as Circe yelled out an incantation in a loud booming voice and then thrust her hand into Damian's chest.

 It looked like the sorceress had killed Damian because as she twisted her hand in his chest, he began to cough up blood but then the unbelievable happened! Circe began to pull her hand back and as she pulled away, you could see a glowing, transparent, sphere following behind her hand. After she pulled the object from his chest. Brother Blood motioned for the remaining wraiths to pick up Damian's body as a blast of black fire rose from the ground. After the villains walked through the portal with their captive, the fire dispersed along with the rest of the horde that remained. There has not been any word as of yet as to the whereabouts of Brother Blood, Circe, or Damian. Is the hero safe, dead, or is there something more sinister going on? We'll keep you posted as we are able to attain more details on the situation.
