Growing up, Alex was considered an unusual child. He wasn't very social, and had a habit of knowing things, minor things, that hadn't happened yet which made people uncomfortable. He obviously wasn't very popular, unlike his older brother, but the two were very close. Regardless of what people thought of Alex, his brother Jake made sure people didn't give him a hard time. Jake never really thought about his little brother's ability, nor did he care.

The two grew older, and Jake finished school and moved to Metropolis to start his career. Alex was about to start his third year of college when he had a premonition that changed his life. He saw his brother's death. No one including his brother believed what he had seen, and took it as his fear of losing his brother who had just moved away. A few weeks went by, and Alex had not heard from his brother. He decided to take a long weekend and headed to Metropolis to visit Jake and see his new place and make sure everything is ok...but it wasn't. When he got to the apartment address that his brother had left for his mail to be forwarded to, the door was unlocked. Alex knocked on the door, then pushed it open. As he walked into the living room he found his brother, lifeless, on the floor. He grabbed Jake and yelled for him to wake up as he called for an ambulance.

The Ambulance arrived. The medics, finding no cause of death or forced entry, determined suicide pending further autopsy. They took the body away. As Alex left the apartment and walked outside, still crying he looked into the sky attracted to a bright flash of light. A shimmering shockwave of Exobytes shot across the atmosphere as far as he could see and rained down into the city. He felt strange. Suddenly, images strobe through his mind of armies, and lights flying back and forth like ping pong with lasers. He had never seen images in his head so clearly before and it quickly became overwhelming. He grabbed his head and cried out. He felt energy burst forth from his body sending cars and lamp posts and mail boxes flying...then he blacked out. He awoke in a strange ship to the sound of machines and fighting and a woman's voice....

Sometime after these events, while searching for the cause of his brother's death, Alex (now going by the name Foresight) was approached by an elite group of heroes calling themselves the Dream Team. They asked him to join them and use his power in the fight for justice, and in return they would do their best to help him find out what happened to his brother. This is where the real journey begins....
