Violet Vandal makes up 0.001% of an entity known only as the Definitive Fact of Being. But her past is shrouded in mystery as to how she separated from the entity. All that is known is that Vandal has incredible power and adaptive capabilities. Lex Luthor found Vandal while researching a strange weather phenomenon over the Gulf of Mexico. A strange crystal was found in a massive hailstorm, and Vandal emerged from the unknown crystal. Lex Luthor saw a potential Enforcer. However, Vandal could sense Lex Luthor was filled with hatred, and she could also feel the many emotions swirling through the world. She was taught general knowledge about the world she now lived in, but Vandal wanted to see more. And so she ran away from the research lab that she was placed in and tried to explore the world to find her own path. As Lex Luthor knew she would.

[After the Exobyte Incident]

As the months went by, Vandal saw many evils in the world from afar and wanted to understand the meaning of it. And as a counter balance, Vandal wanted to understand good as well. Vandal began to help people and at first she wanted their admiration. It seemed honorable and just to help those in need after the recent Brainiac Invasion. One day while patrolling the streets, Vandal saw a man mortally wounded and she began to aid him. The man told her that he was a attacked by a madman. Vandal got the injured man to the hospital only to find another in need. Vandal thought maybe Lex Luthor had released another threat upon the streets of Metropolis, so she investigated. And what she found changed everything that she thought was so simple.

Good vs Evil……

So simple, and far from perfect. Vandal saw a third man beaten nearly to death. The injured mans cosmic aura was in fact evil, yet something was amidst. So Vandal looked to the attacker she saw a giant cold hearted man who through his cosmic aura had done many acts of heroism. Vandal was shocked, and intrigued. The Giant Man of Ice let out a mighty cry “Take that Villain” he said. As Vandal watched, the man then turn to her and raised his mighty hammer. The air quickly began to turn a chilling cold. The giant was about to strike her as well, but several men of dark auras arrived just as the Ice being was about to attack. One of the men (a villain) yelled out “Ice King! Your day has come!” Ice King smiled and said “you villains deserve nothing but my wrath!” Suddenly, Vandal sensed a shift in auras. The several men of dark aura seemed to become filled with light, and the Ice King (the hero) gave a blackened glow of fury and hatred. Unable to understand, Vandal was knocked away by Ice King, and the villains who now seemed good fought the Ice King. Vandal quickly recovered and returned to the battle and saw that Ice King had defeated three of the four villains, and the remaining four had severe injuries. Vandal then engaged Ice King to save the villains and their powers clashed. Hellfire and Arctic Ice in a wave of destruction. It was unclear who would win.

The battle spilled through metropolis, past a police station, and all the way to Lex Corp. Tower where more villains arrived and finally had the Ice King on the ropes. Ice king looked up and said “I am justified. You are villains! I will win!” Vandal then looked and saw the terror that Ice King had unleashed and asked “What are you?!” And Ice King replied “ I am a hero!” As a blizzard ensued and toppled many villains knocking out even Ice King and landing Violet back into the clutches of Lex Luthor. Vandal woke up confused as to what she witnessed. A hero who had gone mad. Lex Luthor stood across the room and began to speak “You tried to be good, yet evil is in all of us, my dear.” Vandal then replied, “but why?” And Luthor answered “because many mistake it as justified……maybe we are. Oh and welcome home. I found you and you should remember that……or else!” Vandal looked down and asked “What should I do now?” And with an evil smile, Lex Luthor said “I hear there is a powerful villain group on the rise. I want you to join them.” Vandal then took a card from Luthor with the initials LoS written on it.
