"WAR" on the streets of Gotham pt. 2

Commissioner Gordon held a press conference today at Gotham City Hall to give the public more information about this past Saturday's robbery.


Gordon stated, "Upon leaving the officers, the members of WAR were beset upon by members of the heroic group The Dream Team. These men were Royal Tee, Healing Thorn, Jcon,and Blaquesun. Both sides clashed in a fierce battle, causing upwards of up to 3 million dollars in property damage. Buildings were brought down, cars crushed, or set ablaze. Even Gotham's train system was not safe, as the above ground tracks were brought down. Though the heroes put up a valiant effort they were clearly no match this day against the might of WAR. Two members of the Dream Team were injured in the melee. Royal Tee was brought to Gotham General for injuries sustained after the above ground tracks were collapsed on top of him. He has since been released. Blaque Sun was not as lucky, he was rushed by fellow Dream team members Healing Thorn and Jcon to an undisclosed location. Our sources say one of his lungs was punctured and his trachea was crushed." 
Eliphaz, co-leader of the Dream Team, released this statement "Tonight is a sad night, we have failed the citizens of Gotham. It is our job to prevent things like this from happening... I'm sorry. Words cannot express how i feel. This will not happen again, that i promise you all. Villains of WAR you are now being put on notice, your actions will not be tolerated. You have bested us tonight, but next time you will not get away." 
A bold statement indeed from a man who suffered two casualties in a failed attempt to stop said but this does beg the question. Where does it go from here? The Dream Team will not let this go quietly, you can be sure they will not rest until they get vengeance. The real question to ask is does WAR really care? So far it would appear that they don't. It seems as though that anyone who gets in these criminals way will potentially pay the ultimate price. Prince of WAR and mastermind of the hiest Jimbo boldly proclaimed that, "We take what we want when we want. If you feel you can stop us, you're more than welcome to try!" Aether added "It would be better for everyone if they would stay out of our way. There is no reason anyone should try to oppose us. Look at tonight, that's what happens when you try."  He also went on to say, "WAR is trying to make this world a better place. Having large sums of money helps with this. While it is inconvenient that this tragedy had to take place, you know how the old saying goes "You can't make an omelet without cracking a few eggs."
