Lex Luthor, the current defacto head of the Metahuman Federal Council, held a press conference this morning calling on all vigilantes operating without a government sanction to go to their nearest police station and submit the proper paperwork to become sanctioned superheroes. Here is brief quotation from his lengthy speech this morning:
"It would be in the best interest of those of you who call yourselves heroes to register with MFC in order to fight crime legally and without penalty. I will grant temporary immunity to all unsanctioned vigilantes for the next 3 hours so that you can make your way to your local law enforcement agency and fill out the proper paperwork to become a part of the MFC and begin your training into efficient crime fighting units. At 12PM CST, the immunity will expire and we will employ any means necessary to bring in or, if necessary, take out any superhuman who is non-compliant. I'm sure your loved ones wouldn't want to find out that you all who remain unregistered died needlessly for something so foolish."
I'm sure we all can guess what route Luthor is going to take with this. That's even amongst the federal investigations that he has going on against him. We'll continue to follow this story as it develops.
