Judge in Flameman trial to rule Tommorrow
After recessing for the weekend, Judge Mark Toler of Gotham is said to be pondering his decision whether to dismiss Murder charges against Meta Militia Leader, Flameman due to lack of evidence. The prosecution was dealt a major setback when Judge Toler ruled that because the alleged videotape of the crime had been handled by multiple costumed vigilantes before ever having the opportunity to be reviewed by authorities. Police Detective Harvey Bullock called it "The last time these friggin' masks tamper with our evidence, we're bringing charges against any of these clowns that try to do our flippin' jobs from now on."
There has been a heavy superhuman presence in the courtroom during the proceedings, from members of the JLA, The PeaceKeepers, Meta Militia and Vanguardians among other notables. Its unknown whether the other hero groups support Flameman or not, but their interest in the results of the trial are obvious. Curious by their absence were Deacon and any other members of the Coalition, although their status as an vigilante group in violation of the VRA may be the real reason behind their no-show.
