Make no mistake, we're user-driven and while we want to print the stuff that keeps the game fresh, interesting and gives this great MMO a new dynamic, we need your help to accomplish this. want us to be more specific? well why didn't you say so? WE NEED:
Interviewers - Want to do interviews with members of the DCUO community? (in-character and user interviews are BOTH welcome) GREAT. let us know. we need Interviewers, there are many members of this community with alot of relevant things to say. we'd like to print it.
Writers - Who doesn't like fan-fiction? We all do. we're eager to print "episodes" that may highlight your character's origin or other significant events in addition to events that took place in-game.
Reporters - We're not going to wait for DCUO's Headline System to tell the tale (or fail to report it) if there are notable events that happened in game we need you to report it (or tell us so we can) not the best fiction writer? NOT A BIG DEAL. take a quick second to write up a news report based on what took place and we'll gladly print it.
Informants - We need The Inside Scoop! maybe there is a notable hero who's going to the darkside? is there some discord within a certain group of heroes? maybe there's a member who's leaving the group to go solo, we need to know about it! give us the "off the record" info. some call it gossip, we calll it NEWS. don't hesitate to drop us an email and tip us of to any and all good info. and never fear, your identity will always remain a closely guarded secret.
Contributors - Maybe you'd like to do a story on the Golden Age of Superheroes, want to outline the 10 Superhero Power Level Categories, explain the psyche of the Secret Identity or how the "God Complex" can affect powerful superheroes. We welcome any great pieces that add to the superhero mythos.
Suggestions - Got a great idea that could make the game better? SWELL. Tell us about it! submit it to our email address and we'll be certain it gets the proper exposure it deserves. many of us that were here since the beginning have the funny feeling that we'll be the ones that make this game the standard that superhero MMOs are judged by. let's help take out the Bad, Keep the Good and highlight the GREAT and shape DCUO into a masterpiece.

What about art? Every newspaper has to have a comic strip and cartoon section right?
ReplyDeleteIt'd be cool to see fan portraits of their own characters and or teams, maybe even by other artists. We could get some contests going to have your hero or villain drawn by a professional comic book artist like Carlos D'Anda or Jim Lee.
And yes I'd be willing to sign on as a reporter and journalist for the Daily Planet.
