Premium Character Create?

While creating the character to specifications was certainly a big draw to DCUO, who knew it was THIS big. After polling several hardcore players and being surprised how many weren't 100% satisfied with DCUO's Character Create, the Daily Planet group sat down and had a discussion about how many of the hardcore fans that must have their characters "just right" could be given a system they could be happy with, and one that would still appeal to and be realistic for the brains behind DCUO.



ENTER: Premium Character Creation.

Many hardcore DCUO fans would love the ability to have more options when it comes to creating their characters. Adding sliders to height, weight and body size is something that would really add to the ability to create what's in our "mind's eye", so would the ability to customize more features like noses, mouths, eyes, hair and a number of other distinguishing features.

Another "sticking point" for hardcore fans has been the inability to create our emblems/insignias. While the reasoning behind this limitation is certainly understandable, its disappointing that the unscrupulous players are limiting our individuality. What we propose is pretty simple. A Premium Character Creation System that would give us the ability to either upload our characters or one that provides much more customization detail. Emblems? Simple, they would have to be approved. Non-offensive images would make the cut, things specifically designed to be unpleasant, to offend and to divide? No such luck.

So what's the incentive for the minds behind DCUO to give us Premium Character Create. Well that's the easy part. MONEY. Each character created with the PCC would be accompanied with a $2.99 charge. While the Basic Character Create would be free, the PCC would require a small investment. This would provide an option to everyone.
