Heroes Assault Villain Safehouse in afternoon Attack
Apparently the good guys are pissed off.
A major contingent of heroes led by Year Zero and Alucard of the Almost Heroes assaulted a known villain safehouse in search of the power-enhancing street drug known as "Burn". More than 25 heroes gathered in Centennial Park not far from the statue of Superman and mounted their attack in search of the drug that has been in heavy use recently. (continued on page 2)
The battle stretched into the park, and if not for the quick actions of the winged hero, Night Rhaevin of the Almost Heroes our news crew on the scene may have been gravely injured by villains intent on making their escape. Some notable heroes that were present were Jason Quick, Knight Fame, 103, Death Phoenix and Tech 9 of the Almost Heroes, Kreytos of Generation X, Hazmat of Dark Justice and Grinder of the Legendary Heroes.
During one segment of the battle, Grinder and Hazmat were separated from the group and pummeled by a group of more than 10 villains until hero reinforcements arrived. Members of the infamous Legion of Sin (who have been accused of introducing "Burn" to Gotham and Metropolis) were also present and before they escaped, Ice Angel, Blast, Hood Hooligan, Night Falls and Dark Awesome gravely injured more than their share of heroes. During one altercation Delta Fierce of the Almost Heroes picked up a Brinks truck and belted villains left and right. Memento Mori of the Insane Legion was struck so hard by one hero that he flew from the park and plowed through two buildings before landing, unconscious.
Sources tell us that the majority of the shipment was confiscated and given to the SOE Branch of The FDA for examination. Numerous captured villains including Dread Lord of the Animal Factory and Pimp Juice were also taken into SOE custody for study and detoxification.
