For a while it seemed that things were improving. This morning's discovery of Brute, the strongman of The Elementals found killed outside the safehouse he was residing in, shattered that. His battered and bullet-ridden body was discovered by one of the staff.
Superman chimed in immediately. "The worst had seemed to be behind us, and then THIS. The Justice League will continue to provide support in any way we can." The Martian Manhunter also hinted at beefed up security and a possible move to a more secure facility--like the WatchTower, Gotham's Batman declined comment. Is there an end in sight to the slaughter? The number of slain members of the besieged superteam now stands at five with Caliber and RedStar as the only remaining surviving members.
