False Hope, Black Lanterns, Versatile Gaming showdown with the Assassins' League and The Coalition

Last night at around 8:15pm, a large group of villains attempted to steal several containers containing PETN, a well known explosive that is one of the most powerful high explosives known, with a relative effectiveness factor of 1.66, and favorite of terroists, that was scheduled to be shipped from Ace Chemicals last night. Two guards and 3 engineers were killed during the theft.

As members from the gangs known as False Hope, Black Lanterns, and Versatile Gaming made a get away attempt, a few random heroes stood up to the criminals and attempted to bring them down. It was a valiant effort but the unregistered vigilantes weren't able to make any headway in the fight. That is until the Assassins' League and The Coalition arrived on the scene and turned the tide of the battle. The battle raged on for another 20 minutes but the outnumbered and injured heroes manage to defeat the assailants and return the stolen property before the local MFC investigators and Cape Killer Units could arrive on the scene. The GCPD gathered statements from other Ace employees who were there working the evening shift and most of them claimed Fire Assassin, Valiant Assassin, Stormbringer, and Deacon were the ones who returned the chemicals. The MFC investigators say that the VRA violators were actually working with the criminals in trying to steal the vats of explosives. A local and federal investigation is still pending.
