Super Human Registration Acts goes up in front of Congress Today

Today the SHRA (Super Human Registration Act) was presented to the U.S. House of Representatives today by Senator John Boehner (R) and co-sponsered by Senator Dick Durbin (R). The 826 page document is expected to be fast tracked through Congress by March 10th and to the Senate for final deliberation by the end of the business week (March 11th).

Republicans and Democrats are effectively split on this bill and a lot of analysts are expecting the bill to die once it reaches the senate. President Suarez has not given an answer on whether or not he'll veto the legislation if it even makes it to him but has assured that he has top pollsters and analysts looking into this to see what the American people really want. We will provide more info as details come in.

  1. Legislation on superhumans will be as effective as legislation on owning firearms. It will only serve to harm the law abiding citizens affected by this while the criminals will continue to run rampant.

  5. Rhetoric, it seems, is a producer of persuasion for belief, not for instruction in the matter of right and wrong ... And so the rhetorician's business is not to instruct a law court or a public meeting in matters of right and wrong, but only to make them believe.
Then the case is the same in all the other arts for the orator and his rhetoric; there is no need to know the truth of the actual matters, but one merely needs to have discovered some device of persuasion which will make one appear to those who do not know to know better than those who know.
Until philosophers are kings, or the kings and princes of this world have the spirit and power of philosophy, and political greatness and wisdom meet in one, and those commoner natures who pursue either to the exclusion of the other are compelled to stand aside, cities will never have rest from their evils.
