SuperDad and Chromaticus Slain, report released

 As the dust clears, evidence reveals that SuperDad of the Ultimate Legion and Chromaticus of the Doom 

Patrol were both killed in a super-battle between the two super-teams. The details weren't known until just a few hours ago. We obtained a report from investigators that details the level of trickery the Doom Patrol used to lure SuperDad into his own capture and engineered his death via friendly fire.

When UL showed up, the fighting started and they noticed “SuperDad” chained to a post. UL member Shalackins was fed up and sent an inferno towards the DP members, followed by a meteor that hit the earth with such force the crater left stretched for a mile. All but Chromaticus evaded this fatal attack and fled the scene. After the dust settled, Champion of the UL walked down to find Chromaticus’ mangled body. He looked up at Shalackins in confusion. “Did it seem too easy?” Champion asked.

“He never moved. Something’s not right…”

 

Just then Dragon Star shouted out, “SuperDad! Wait!” As Superdad was no longer chained and was trying to flee.

Shalackins quickly caught up to SuperDad, who was laughing uncontrollably. “Brother!” called Shalackins.

“You have no brother, fool. He was killed by your own two hands!”

“What are you talking about?” That is when Chromaticus pulled off his mask, revealing his true identity.

And then Champion picked up the limp body of “SuperDad” and pulled off the disguise mask and shouted out to Shalack…”Kill him!”

Chromaticus was backed  into a corner when he felt the full might of the entire UL. His death was quick, but Shalackins and UL would suffer for a long time to come.
