Super Powered Battle Near Merci General Leads to Multiple Arrest

Last night around 11:45pm, an intense skirmish took place just 1 block away from Gotham's premier hospital, Merci General. It was a violent scuffle that ended swiftly before MFC enforcers could arrive on the scene and arrest all of those who were involved.

As reported directly from our top dog reporter, Kristen, she was in the area meeting up with a source to find out more info on the Soldiers of Light shake up when two men fell from the rooftops and crashed into the streets below. Just as soon as they began to rise to their feet, 5 other super powered beings landed on the streets and surrounded them and quickly pressed their attack. It was clear that this had been an ambush because it seemed as though the two heroes had been caught completely off guard. They were holding their own for a while but were quickly becoming overwhelmed.

That's when a shadowed figure swung in from out of nowhere and kicked one of the criminals through concrete barrier that often protects the town homes near the hospital. Once he flipped to the ground, Kristen reported that the person in question was the super powered vigilante known as Deacon that had stepped in to lend these guys a hand. The odds were still stacked against them 3 to 5 but the new heroes along side with Deacon quickly went to work and took out the perpetrators in a flurry of punches, fire, metal and kicks. After the super criminals were bound up and hung upside down by the street lights for the authorities to pick up, the 3 vigilantes quickly left the scene. MFC enforcers and GCPD arrived there after and took the criminals into custody. Once Kristen arrived back at our offices here in Otisburg, she did some more snooping and found out that the two heroes who aided in the bust are rumored to be new members of the Coalition. We were able to confirm one them goes by the name Wilz while we are still digging for the other individuals name. The villains that were taken into custody seemingly belong to a league called xxxxTheSuicideSquadxxxx. We'll keep looking into this to try and uncover more information and relay it to you as it comes.
