The First Lady of the Coalition, Stormbringer, lent a crucial assist to two rather unknown and beginner vigilante teams in taking down a rampaging Batzarro in the Otisburg District of Gotham. Wanton destruction ensued as the two heroes of the night made a vain effort to take down the crazed lunatic.
Other local vigilantes Side Swipe, Clean Shot, and Dagger quickly jumped in to help and managed to help contain the destruction that was being wrought but there was no way to tell how long they would be able to keep him at bay. Then, just as their handle on the situation was at its breaking point and the villain begin to show signs of escaping, a huge beam of lightning beamed down from a nearby rooftop and blasted Batzarro through a nearby diner. The lightning bearer then flew down with what can only be described as a large blue meteor with large chunks of blue kryptonite protruding from it. STAR Labs central security later confirmed that the material Stormbringer used to take down the villain, which was an experimental synthesized kryptonite that they had been working on for the past year, had been procured from their local laboratory near the Knights Dome nearby.
After Batzarro was taken into custody, MFC Enforcers raided the area in an attempt to capture the unregistered heroes. The vigilantes all attempted to make mistakes but it appeared that Side Swipe, Clean Shot, and Dagger were unlucky and their short lived hero days had come to an end. Stormbringer as well as other members of the Coalition still remain at large.
As a member and one of the newest officers of The Coalition I can say with all good conscience, Stormbringer diffused and shut down a situation that could have been MUCH worse. Many of us, myself included are Gothamites and even before the exobyte incident were doing what we could to make Gotham a better place to live. We have accountability, we work closely with the JLA and are very careful not to hurt the innocent. In times like these this city needs all the heroes it can get, and we can't help people if we have to constantly deal with MFC and other misguided beaurocratic groups. To ANYONE looking for us I will tell you now where to find us. In the dark trenches of Gotham helping broken people, and stopping those who want to victimize others. Want to talk?
