Apparently a killer is hunting The Elementals.
Despite being guarded inside a safehouse and having two super-powered protectors, Infinity, leader of the besieged supergroup, was found murdered last night, minutes after an experimental toxin was allegedly pumped into the safehouse's ventilation system. Both members of the JLA who were guarding him were treated for exposure to the toxin and released. (continued on page 2)
This is the third member of the group to be killed, and security on the remaining members were said to be increased considerably. The highest ranking living member, Sureshot, commented after the news of Infinity's killing. "Today is a dark day, As Elementals, we're in harm's way right now. On behalf of The Elementals, i'm reaching out to any superteam that's willing to help, to either assist in the capture of the people or person responsible--or to assist in the protection of our remaining members. Thank you."
The group's remaining members include Sureshot, The Energy Projector Redstar, The mercenary Caliber and Brute--a strongman.
