Signs are showing that the bill will go into law.

Even though President Suarez hasn't given any official word on whether or not he'll be signing the VRA legislation, we have it on good authority that anti-vigilante teams are being set up in order to enforce the new law.

White House Spokesman Dandridge Gibbs was also so kind as to give us a little insight at an afternoon press conference as to some of the compromises that came about when trying to get the bill through the senate. "Basically, the VRA only covers super humans and vigilantes that became active after the Exobyte event. All established heroes and leagues will have amnesty from the new law. We would still like to encourage those established heroes to register with the Metahuman Federal Council ,or MFC  for short, in order to gain favorable opinion with the public,'' Gibbs stated. He also went on to add, "Amnesty will also be granted to criminals and super criminals who decide to abandon their unlawful ways and join the governement in bringing down metas and non-metas who are not in compliance with the VRA." Gibbs was also asked about the rumors that claimed pro-VRA teams were already taking heroes down and also the photo that was released showing said actions. Gibbs responded, "We can't disclose any further information at this time."

Needless to say that last statement was a room shaker and had every journalists in attendance on their feet trying to get more out of the spokesperson but Gibbs had already left the podium. Who are they planning on getting to lead the pro-VRA team? Only time will tell. We will get more to you as this situation further develops.

  1. A phone rings at the Daily Planet and the caller ID shows a blocked number. The phone then goes to voicemail and a masked voice begins to speak. " THE VRA Won't pass, The Legion Of Sin will stage an Assasination Attack on The President before he can sign the bill and If that doesn't work we will kill the congress. I bet your wondering why well obviously if we kill the president not the heroes will automatically be attacked by the public after all what sense would it make for a villain to Stop the VRA ".

The Message had been saved as soon as the Daily Planet Editor listened to the voicemail. The automated voiced would say " This Phone will blow up in 5 Seconds ".

  7. In my hometown, my family was supported by the government to stop crime, but they did not know our information, nor will they ever. I'm on my way to Washington D.C. to protect the president, I've already been asked by the V.P.
I'm here to help out everyone, even if I disagree in what they believe in. Try your best Legion of Sin, I'll make sure you don't hurt anyone, because that's what a true hero is, and you don't need to know my real name to know I keep my promises.

  8. Unlike my fellow Onslaught Inc. members, I think this is a wonderful idea. Us "villains" are by nature wary of working with so-called "heroes."

So as a good gesture, the heroes ought to lead by example and register first. Once they register not only will we follow suit, but we also volunteer our services to protect this sensitive information. :)

On a completely unrelated note, rumors that these pro-VRA teams who are taking down heroes were wearing ONS uniforms are completely false.

  9. Amnesty for the Batman? figures.
That phone call form a Mysterious Person is probably a cover up for heroes to take actions against the law.
Do you realy think any villains would go against that bill? Hell no! This is Christmas for us.
If LOS wanted to stage an Assasination Attack on anyone, we would say it ourselves. We are not cowards and take pride in our achievements! LegionOfSin came up because of our notoriety. Don't be to quick to accept lies fed to you.

  11. So lemme get this straight? A mysterious voice claiming to be a member of the Legion Of Sin calls the Daily Planet and says "We" will be assasinating the president if the vra bill passes? Next you'll be sayin LoS is joining the green lantern corp to protect the JLA from attack from the secret society?? Get a clue Mag as a matter of fact get 2..... so the real question is just what league of superhero's would benefit fromt the president being scared in2 vetoing this bill? Hmmmm lemme think... If im not wrong i remember a certain super representing the meta justice faction saying he would not register if the bill came in2 effect and a few dream teamers sayin they'd quit there form of "heroics" if this were 2 happen....Now with black falcons public display of wreckless abandon i ask the people of this great nation who can you trust? As i stated before i would love for this 2 go in2 effect because i would like the super vigilante identified who killed my father 2 stand up and be held accountable for his/her actions.... i'd personally serve some much deserved attention 2 said hero LoS Style......

  12. And furthermore for any "villains" who think this has anything to do with LoS i'd like them 2 personally dig there own grave and kill themselves.... this means you Zedigg...way 2 jump to the heroic side of thinking or maybe just maybe thats been your plan all along.....

  13. In 1748, Montesquieu noted “Useless laws weaken the necessary laws.”

In 1957, Ayn Rand wrote “There’s no way to rule innocent men. The only power government has is the power to crack down on criminals. Well, when there aren’t enough criminals, one makes them. One declares so many things to be a crime that it becomes impossible for men to live without breaking laws.”

In 2008, Professor John Baker of the LSU recorded that there are at least 4,450 offenses in United States Federal Criminal Law. These are offenses which are not the “normal” criminal offenses which one would find in state law. The vast majority of these are offenses which would not even be recognized as crimes by the founders of our great nation.

Worse, the United States Congress is now creating a new criminal offense more than once per week. You and I are legally obligated to understand and comply with each of these new laws — or face incarceration in federal prison.

The Heritage Foundation has created a web site, Over Criminalized, to educate Americans about the damage these laws are doing to our constitutional republic.

  14. Eli, meta-powered vigilantes are not innocent people. They are ruthless people who will not be stopped in enforcing their own set of laws. Laws that are known to no one but themselves and the people they punish.

Unlike government law, vigilantes serve as judge, jury, and executioner all before someone knows they have committed a crime.

And so no matter how trivial you may find government law to be, people at least have a chance to defend themselves in the court of law.

There is no defense for vigilantism.
