The Origin of Heli0s?
With much speculation about the new hero Heli0S, The Daily Planet attempted to find someone who could shed more light (no pun intended) on this new figure within the Super Hero community. We turned to none other than the Amazonian Warrior herself Wonder Woman, and Earth's Mightiest mortal Captain Marvel. Neither would give us much insight into the origin of Heli0S. However, one of our sources within the Department of Meta-Human affairs has given us a top secret document that we feel you all need to see. After hearing what told us, and reading this file, all I have to say is that I'm glad this guy is on our side. We're sure you will agree.

Lance and Spectra Speak Out
Superhero Duo Lance and Spectra held press conference today speaking out on the lack of unity in the superhero community. "I don't know when it happened, many people point to the Elemental Murders, But something was lost and our community never regained it." We see heroes fighting heroes, and disloyalty instead of alliances and a promise/commitment to work together." Spectra finished their outcry by calling out notable hero groups like The PeaceKeepers, Coalition, Vanguardians, Dream Team, F.L.A.G and New Justice by saying they "have set a poor example. Instead of leading the way and taking new heroes under their wing, they've been silent and simply watched as our profession has been degraded by pseudo-heroes like FlameMan and the mockery of justice know as the Cape Killer Unit."
More on this story and its responses as they become available.

Halo makes plea to Gotham Heroes
Recently the heroine Halo was the first hero to begin an investigation into the deaths of the heroes Phipher and Rayven Man. "I cant--won't stand by idly as heroes are put down. Who's to say I might not be next?" I'm officially starting my investigation, and any heroes who want to assist me are welcome to meet me on the roof of Gotham's 9th precinct police station every day at 5pm eastern. Heroes have got to stick together and bring these killers to justice."

Coming Soon: Interview with Meta Militia Leader, The Flameman
About a month ago we heard from The Coalition co-founder, Deacon, about recent events that transpired between his league and the Meta Militia. We've also heard from one of his teammates, Heat Source, about the recent hostile takeover attempt and Flameman's part in the whole conspiracy but we haven't heard anything from the man himself!

Has Soldier Retired?
Months ago F.L.A.G. was one of the fastest growing Hero groups in Metropolis, and while they are still a stalwart among hero groups, apparently the man who put it all together, Soldier has chosen to "hang up the cape". We're in the process of trying to secure an interview to determine why he chose to leave the superhero community at the height of his team's popularity and we hope to provide details as soon as they are available.

Was Vicious Killing Unprovoked?
Reports are surfacing today that the incident that resulted in the Hostage Crisis at the Mayor's Office was reportedly close to resolution by negotiator when the now-infamous MFC Cape Killer Unit entered the building resulting in the death of the supervillian who was apparently the mastermind behind the crisis, Vicious. Apparently a special investigation is being launched within days. The purpose of this investigation? To determine whether the use of Deadly Force was both Authorized and Necessary. The implications here are far-reaching and shocking, was the situation almost at a peaceful resolution when the MFC operatives burst in? The investigation will reportedly dig deep for the truth.
More on this story as it becomes available.

Who is Tenchi?
Apparently there's a new vigilante on the streets of Gotham. Last week there were more than a dozen reports of a sword-wielding martial artist/cyborg who was witnessed performing heroic acts from stopping two bank robberies to protecting two innocents from one of Gotham's more notorious gangs. Apparently his sword isn't wielded using deadly force as the only thing "cut" in half were handguns and an automatic rifle. A witness on the scene said the man described himself as "Tenchi".
As always, we'll continue to monitor this situation and provide more information as it becomes available.

New Green and Yellow Lanterns on the Horizon?
Hundreds, if not thousands of beams of green and yellow light have been seen across the globe descending from the heavens! At first it seemed as though the beams were just targeting super humans but reports are also coming in that civilians with no reported vigilante or criminal activity are also being abducted by these lights. What does this all mean? We'll deliver more information as the situation develops!

Suspect in Elemental Killings?
Team leader, Infinity, seen here, was the fourth Elemental to be slain. |
Sources are now telling us that authorities may have their first suspect in the Elemental Killings. The hero Addonexus, who was apparently shaken by the killings of several of his close friends, refused to stop investigating the killings and may have had a breakthrough a little more than a month ago.
