Apocalypto Issues Manifesto

The Daily Planet recently received a correspondence from someone claiming to be Apocalypto, the vicious leader of The Legion of Sin. This "manifesto" seems to outline (in a rambling, maniacal fashion) some of the villain's motivations and his way-of-thinking. It also mentions several hero groups that may be future targets.

As always, we'll report more details of this story as they become available.

POV: Animus Vanishes!

He lay there so sound asleep one would almost think that he had passed in the night. He was hooked up to so many machines, the bleeping and sirens unconsciously driving him insane. Did they know that he was nearly completely healed, did they understand his spirit, his power, no…they only thought they knew. He heard the voice of Superman a moment ago; his voice had resonance of concern, and he was not alone, Flame Man was with him. He misunderstood their worry, or rather his mind translated it into disappoint. His doubt in himself was something like a tragic opera replaying in his mind.

Civilians Protest Unmonitored Heroes

Wodan Berserk threatening camera man

We see them everyday now in the major cities. They pull us out of burning buildings and beat up the occasional trans-dimensional robot. Most people around the world are, without a doubt, happy to see the new generation of heroes but what about us in the actual cities who have to put up with them day in and day out?

Legion Of Sin Planning Something BIG?

After news of a massive villain meeting at Striker Island and a power struggle where The Legion of Sin and Iconic Villains emerged victorious, now sources are revealing that something BIG may be in the works. Is there an evil offensive on the horizon? Informants are now telling stories of members of the LOS meeting with several longtime villains to gain their support in some sort of massive villain movement.

Solomon Grundy, Deathstroke, Bizzaro and Circe are just a few of the names that have been revealed as allied with this villain consortium. We haven't gotten comments from any hero spokesmen on this breaking development, but we mean to. Does this begin a new era of villain cooperation? The implications on a legitimate shift in the balance of power have many authorities fearful and nervous.

BREAKING NEWS!!: DOZENS OF SUPER CRIMINALS IN CRITICAL CONDITION

James Gadney here. I just received words from an unknown source that dozens of thugs and super criminals were just admitted to Merci General around 2 hours ago at 2:22 est. From what we're told, there are no deaths among those admitted but the lot of them have been seriously injured. The entire DP "ON THE SCENE" staff have been mobilized and will be accompanying me to the hospital to get more details on exactly what happened. We will give more info as it is released. Keep checking back and we should be able to give better details as to what exactly went on. For now, here a photo from where the incident occurred, the popular underworld hangout known as "The Tap Room." We do know that the individual in the photo is Sazuki. She is a member of the super villain group known as The Dark Gods. She was the first to be admitted in front of a string of beaten criminals.

Villain Consortium at Strikers Island?

Not much is known about the gathering of several large and influential villain groups that took place at this secret location recently, but what we can gather from underworld sources is that a villain "council" or sorts met there to decide on ways to organize and unite their forces. Sources also tell us that there was a massive power struggle and that elements of The Legion of Sin and Iconic Villains emerged victorious. (continued on page 4)

Dream Team thwarts EMP Terrorist

During the early hours of yesterday, a former S.T.A.R Labs scientist turned terrorist held Gotham for ransom demanding 10 million dollars or he would detonate an EMP Device that would destroy every electrical device within 4 miles of downtown. During a tense three-hour long negotiation, Dream Team sprung into action and located the terrorist at his hidden location (which was reportedly near the Batcave) disabled the device and quickly put down the small team of commandos that protected him. The Dream Team strikeforce consisted of Foresight, Eliphaz, Coldfists, Death God, BurningFlash, RockToonz, Kid Kadabra, and Royaltee.

At press time Dream Team was still being debriefed by authorities. We will reach out to them for comments as more information becomes available.
