Dismissal!

His supporters cheered, while his detractors in the courtroom had a look of concerned disapproval on their faces. As expected, Judge Mark Toler decided that a lack of evidence by the prosecution forced him to drop first-degree murder charges against the superhero known as Flameman.

Power Girl & Co. Subdue Demon

A superbattle raged last night not far from the 9th precinct in Gotham. JL Member Power Girl with the help of numerous heroes including Bulletproof Tiger of the Overlords, Dark Vector and Outback Maxx of the Absolute Fatalities, was able to subdue the enormously powerful demon, Twiggy Upgraded summoned by none other than the reclusive Peter Dark the dark wizard. Judge in Flameman trial to rule Tommorrow

After recessing for the weekend, Judge Mark Toler of Gotham is said to be pondering his decision whether to dismiss Murder charges against Meta Militia Leader, Flameman due to lack of evidence. The prosecution was dealt a major setback when Judge Toler ruled that because the alleged videotape of the crime had been handled by multiple costumed vigilantes before ever having the opportunity to be reviewed by authorities. Police Detective Harvey Bullock called it "The last time these friggin' masks tamper with our evidence, we're bringing charges against any of these clowns that try to do our flippin' jobs from now on."

Hero Stops Plane Crash

Its not often that superheroes get the opportunity to prevent tragedies and accidents but thats just what Metropolis hero, Boltflame was able to do today. After hearing about an airline flight that was experiencing multiple engine failure, he took to the skies and used his considerable strength to assist its safe landing. "He's an angel." said one passenger, "Who knows what might have happened had he not acted. We owe him our lives."

At press time, American Airlines was still investigating the cause of the malfunction. We'll continue to provide more information as it becomes available.

Flameman Early Dismissal?

Sources are now telling us that after a motion to dismiss for lack of evidence, the judge in the Trial of Flameman is seriously considering the defense's motion to dismiss all charges. Apparently the fact that the apparent video evidence was disallowed by the judge's ruling yesterday was particularly damaging to the prosecution's case. (continued on page 2)
